We are pleased to announce that Catharina Belfrage Sahlstrand is no longer just a friend of Exponential Roadmap Initiative — she is now also a Fellow. With a distinguished career in sustainable finance, Catharina brings invaluable expertise to our mission of supporting leading businesses in halving global emissions by 2030 and contributing to the new net zero economy.

As former Chief Sustainability and Climate Officer at Handelsbanken, Catharina has been instrumental in integrating sustainability into financial strategies in the Nordics. Recently, she joined the board of GoClimate, an important partner for ERI and our work with initiatives such as the SME Climate Hub and the Nordics Climate Advisory Group.

Catharina’s work has significantly influenced the financial sector’s approach to climate action, emphasising the importance of aligning financial flows with sustainability objectives. Her insights and leadership will be instrumental in advancing our initiatives, and she will have a particular focus on how we work with food system resilience and regenerative agriculture and their financing aspects.

Last Friday, she participated for the first time as an official ERI representative in a conversation from a financial markets practitioner’s perspective at the Stockholm Climate Leadership Forum.
